Description of Ministry
STCH Ministries International opportunities continue to grow! Individuals, families, groups, churches, and organizations from throughout Texas and the United States are joining us to minister to children and families internationally. And as Americans reach out to make a difference around the world, they often find their own lives transformed as deeply as those they seek to help. Although much of our STCH Ministries International work takes place in the Santo Domingo area of the Dominican Republic, we are expanding to cover more of the island. We have Dominican ministry team members who assist with all mission efforts and follow up on mission projects to promote ongoing and long-term success. One of our goals is to ensure that local Christians continue to minister to those reached by our short-term mission efforts.  https://www.stchm.org/international/ 

Description of UBC Involvement
UBC sends two different teams to work with STCH each year.  In mid-July a team of parents and children are sent to help with the construction of beds, playground equipment, or similar needs of an orphanage or foster home that is part of the STCH network in the Dominican Republic.  In late July, a team of educators goes to conduct continuing ed, similar to “in-service” for school teachers whose schools that are also part of the STCH network.
