Living the Story: Rivka Burko Levi Pinckney

Posted by Rivka Pinckney on

This summer, Pastor Steve told the stories of Jonah, Nehemiah and Ruth. The summer series was called Living the Story. We asked you to share your story with us, your UBC Family. These are those stories…

Daughter of Israel, born in Tel-Aviv in 1951, to a father who lost his parents and siblings by the hands of the Nazis. A mother who was born from the line of the tribe of Levi. It was Riki's Messiah, who revealed Himself to her at the age of 8. Against all the odds, brought her through military service, three wars, and ten years in Germany (in a Catholic church) to face Him, repent, and be baptized to follow Him in love and devotion. It was not through man; it was Himself a living God who has a powerful but gentle spirit who planted a seed in her heart. Called her to serve Him by bringing a bridge to unite His children by understanding His roots and love to His Jewish family.
