Ms. Laura is so happy being a part of Weekday. Recently an empty nester, she is thrilled to have precious babies to hug and play with while sharing God's amazing love! She has been married to her favorite hubby, Tony, for an approaching 30 years, and has three grown sons -- Connor (25), Carson (23), and Chandler (21). She is a Texas Aggie--- WHOOP! Her degree is in elementary education and she taught 3rd and 5th grades before being an at-home mom for many years. As a family, they love to travel to beach islands together and go snow skiing.
Ms. Sheryl was born and raised on a farm in Northeast KS. In the year 2000 she and her husband Jon moved to Clear Lake. In 2013 they adopted their daughter Sydney, who is the light of their lives. Sydney has been attending Weekday since she was 18 months old, and Sheryl fell in love with Weekday as soon as she started. She is so happy to be a part of the team teaching these precious children. In her free time, she loves working in her yard and being outside. She also enjoys scrapbooking, crafts and playing with Sydney and their two dogs.
Ms. Amy has many years of experience working with preschoolers in Sunday school and teaching at another church. She is excited to join the Weekday team this year! She loves being around little ones and watching them discover all the wonders of God. Ms. Amy has been married to Kevin for 21 years. She has a freshman (Alex) and a senior (Sydney) at Clear Brook High where she is involved in the PTA, FFA Booster Club and Band Booster Club. She enjoys playing board games with friends and family and traveling. Her favorite bible verse is: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
Ms. Heather grew up in Pasadena and graduated from Deer Park High School in 2013 . She is currently taking classes at San Jacinto Community College for her degree in Child Development. Her career goal is to achieve a Child Life Specialist Degree and work in the hospitals with the kids about to go through surgery and admitted for care. She has a sister, two amazing parents, a loving boyfriend, her adored dog Ellie May and a wonderful family that she is thankful for everyday. In her free time she loves to go for a jog on the trails, paint and craft. She loves seeing the kids grow and is so happy that God has brought her here to be a part of this school year. Her favorite verse is Proverbs 31:25 She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.
Ms. Susie is so excited to be a part of the UBC Weekday Team! She has been married to her husband, Pat, for 35 years and has four grown children: Curtis, Annie, David, and Drew. She grew up in Sioux City, Iowa, and has lived in the Clear Lake area all of her married life. She has always worked with children, beginning as an aide in a class for the severely impaired, working in a day care, serving as a nanny for a family for several years, babysitting other children while being a stay-at-home mom, working in preschools, and in the office of an elementary school. She is now back in a place that has always warmed her heart - taking care of babies. In her free time, she loves long walks, hunting for garage sales, and getting together with her family. She is looking forward to a wonderful first year with the UBC family.
