Ms. Kasie and her husband began attending UBC about 7 years ago. She has 16 year old twin boys and then came along 2 little surprises who are now 6 and 4. She has a BSN and had been working as a clinical nurse for 17 years. When the little ones came along, she decided to stay home and take care of her family. She put the littles in PMDO and loved everything about it....what they learned, the teachers, the special programs…so much so that she began working here herself! She absolutely loves the kids, their faces when they learn something new and cool, and the teamwork of people is tremendous...all with the goal of raising children with Christ in their heart and using those precious God-given brains. One of her favorite verses is from Psalms 46 Be still and know that I am God.
Ms. Chelsea is attending school to be an Audio Engineer, and is considering continuing on for Music Education. She loves music and spends most of her time singing! She enjoys going to the dog park and camping with her newest puppy, Cash. She is definitely a dog mom. She feels incredibly blessed to have had Jesus lead her to the Weekday program where she has a blast with all the kids and co-teachers.
Ms. Elaine is a certified teacher who has worked in Math and Special Education in Clear Creek ISD. After she had her second child, she “retired” to work part time as a youth and family director at a church. After the birth of her fourth child, she decided to stay at home full time. She is thrilled to come and teach preschoolers at UBC to share her love of teaching and God. When she is not teaching, Elaine enjoys spending time with family playing board games, running, swimming and camping. The verse “Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14 is not only the UBC Weekday theme this year, it is also Elaine’s favorite verse.
Ms. Sarah is in her sixth year at UBC and taught at another church for eight years. She loves teaching, and is super excited about working with all the sweet kids here at UBC. She has been married to her husband, Joe, for 20 years and has a son, 19 years old, and a daughter, 16 years old. She loves to spend time with her family hanging out at the beach or doing something fun outdoors! Her favorite Bible verse is: Love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13)
Ms. Erin is excited to begin her third year at UBC! She completed her B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies at Texas A&M in 2003, and has completed about half of an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction. She previously taught 2 years at a local preschool and 6 years at Victory Lakes Intermediate in League City. Ms. Erin has 5 children ranging in ages from second grade to two years old as well as 2 grown stepsons, a daughter-in-law and two granddaughters! She and her husband of 9 years love to travel, camp, play guitar, and cook, but spend most of their time taking care of their brood. Ms. Erin can't wait to have fun with the 2 &1/2 year olds!
