Churches that decide not to compromise themselves as Christians will find that there is a price to pay for such devotion. In every culture, the church must strike a balance between biblically appropriate methods of seeking to transform culture and attempts to avoid persecution and compromise the true commitment of following Jesus. But if we always let the world dictate terms to the Church, we will fail in our mission. If we stand against the world, we will incur its disappointment and even wrath.
