Building Bridges

Passage: Luke 19:1-10

Speaker: Dr. Garet Robinson

Series: Meet the Neighbors

Category: Sunday Sermons

The world of Jesus’ day was a divided world that was remarkably similar to where we are as a society. Barriers were created around race, money, social status, political positions, and native lands…just like our world today. Yet in all of the division that stood before Him, Jesus consistently saw past those barriers to the individuals He encountered. For Jesus, finding worth and value in worthless and valueless people allowed Him to create bridges to extend His mission of hope and salvation. Jesus built bridges to the sick, the poor, the different, and in the process of doing so, began tearing down walls that had separated neighbor from neighbor for centuries.
