Kamp Kindness (Focus, Aug 2016)

08.01.16 | Children

At Kamp Kindness, a three-day summer mission camp hosted by UBC, kids are put to work doing random acts of kindness. This summer’s camp almost topped out with nineteen kids and eight participating adults!

The kids experienced the hustles of snack and breakfast packing at the Houston Food Bank, as well as the blessings of providing food to others at the Park on the Bay in Baycliff with Lighthouse Ministries. In addition to their food service, they also had an opportunity to care for the infirmed. The kids made “comfort blankets” and prepared chemotherapy care packages for children at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston.

It never ceases to amaze me how much our kids love this camp. I love to see our kids love serving so much—it truly blesses my soul.
