Camp Harvey

09.24.17 | General, Children, Serve

Following Harvey, local schools were slow to reopen and many parents were tasked with completing extensive home repairs. In order to give parents a helping hand, UBC held a week-long day camp for children. During Camp Harvey, Rhena O’Neal and her team served 550 people a day. They prepared 1,100 hot dogs, 1,100 individual pizzas, and 3,000 chicken nuggets. They served 1,100 bags of chips, bagged 688 dozen cookies, bagged 2,750 bags of carrots and grapes and mixed up 75 gallons of lemonade.
