Parent Resources

Helpful information at your fingertips

No one is a know-it-all. We all have questions about what movies to watch, what books to read, what actions to take and even what thoughts to think about issues.

We can’t give you an answer to every question, but we’d like to help you find trustworthy resources that can help you get the answers you need to . . . bring it home.

Leading a Child to Christ

One of the greatest joys of being a parent is having the opportunity to guide your child to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You bring your child to Bible Study and other church activities where they can learn what the Bible says. You may have family devotion times as well.

When a child begins to understand that God wants them to become a part of His eternal family, he or she may start asking questions. Be aware of your child’s spiritual interests and be ready to respond.

Some of these resources may help.

The ABCs of Becoming a Christian, a simple and effective way to share God’s plan of salvation.

  • A=Admit—Admit to God that you are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin. Read Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Acts 3:19, and 1 John 1:9.
  • B=Believe—Believe that Jesus is God’s Son and accept God’s gift of forgiveness from sin. Read John 3:16, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-9, and John 1:11-13.
  • C=Confess—Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Read Romans 10:9 and Romans 9:10-13.
